Veon Media is hiring its first dedicated Business Development Manager to own and grow new
business across web design and SEO services. This is an ownership-led role focused on
proactive opportunity creation, relationship building, and deal closure. There is no inbound-heavy sales flow – success comes from generating conversations, building trust locally, and closing well-qualified work. The role offers the opportunity to shape how business development is done as the function matures, with autonomy, responsibility, and clear commercial accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end business development function
- Proactively generate new business through networking, outbound outreach, referrals, and partnerships
- Run discovery and qualification calls independently
- Qualify prospects on budget, fit, urgency, and decision-making authority
- Present web design and SEO services clearly and commercially
- Secure signed contracts and closed revenue
- Help define and refine a simple, repeatable sales and handover process
- Own pipeline management, reporting, and hygiene in HubSpot
- Represent Veon Media professionally across Birmingham and the West Midlands
What We're Looking For
- B2B sales or business development experience (services-based)
- Experience creating opportunities, not just handling inbound leads
- Comfortable selling £1k–£5k+ projects
- Strong face-to-face, phone, and relationship-led sales skills
- Confident and comfortable making commercial decisions
- Experience using HubSpot to manage pipelines
- Comfortable working autonomously in a developing sales function

- £16,000/year base (pro rata, £40,000 FTE equivalent) + 5% commission on closed revenue
